General Rules & Rates

Transportation within the RM & Village Boundaries:

• $10.00 per person round trip
• OR $7.00 per person one way
• Includes driver for 1 hour (including driving time), after that each hour will be $20.00 
• Trips over 4 hours will be charged a $15 driver meal expense
  

Transportation within 100km (includes Portage la Prairie):

• $50.00 minimum per person round trip (for 1 to 2 people)
• OR $25.00 per person one way (for 1 to 5 people)
• Includes driver for 2 hours (including driving time), after that each hour will be $20.00 
• Driver will stop at more than one location
• Trips over 4 hours will be charged a $15 driver meal expense
  

Transportation 101 kms - 325 kms (includes Winnipeg):

• $175.00 minimum per trip + $15 driver meal. 
• Includes driver for 6 hours (including driving time), after that each hour will be $20.00 
• Driver will stop at more than one location

Non-Resident Medical Transportation (includes Winnipeg):

• $340.00 minimum per trip
• Includes driver for 6 hours (including driving time), after that each hour will be $20.00 
• Driver will stop at more than one location

Transportation for pleasure/recreational use

• $150.00 flat rate Plus a charge of 0.75¢ per Kilometer (both ways)
• Includes driver for 6 hours (including driving time), after 6 hours each hour will be $20.00

Handi-Transit Capacity:

• Maximum of 13 ambulant passengers
• Maximum of 4 wheelchair passengers 
• Can accommodate 7 ambulant passengers riding with 4 wheelchair passengers 
  

NEW - Smaller Handivan available that can accommodate 4 ambulant passengers + 1 wheel chair

Users:

• All residents of the Town of MacGregor and RM of North Norfolk (including Austin, Sidney, Bagot and Rossendale) may utilize the Handivan - however, priority is given to mobility disadvantaged clients and seniors (55+)
  

Drivers:

• A vetted class 4 licence is mandatory to operate the Handi-Transit. If you are interested in becoming a Handi-Transit Driver please contact McKelvy Agencies at (204) 685-2390.
• Hourly wage is $20.00
• Drivers can claim meal expenses on trips over 4 hours ($15)
  

Billing:

• Handi-Transit users will be billed at the end of every month.
